Technical data: Photo taken with a manual Nikon SLR film camera and Nikkor 105mm f2.5 lens; hand held, available light. Approximate exposure 1/250 second at f5.6 - Kodak Kodachrome 64 transparency film rated normally. No lens filters were used. Film was scanned using a Minolta Dimage series film scanner. Photo file was routinely optimized with Photoshop on a Mac.

Comments: On a cloudy bright Fourth of July in rural Vermont I spotted this young boy atop his father's shoulders at a parade. I opened the aperture fairly wide on my classic Nikkor 105mm lens to soften the cluttered background and made this photo using the most popular slide film of the day, Kodachrome 64.  HC
