Technical data: Photo taken with hand held manual Nikon SLR film camera & Nikkor 85mm f1.8 lens using existing outdoor light. Approximate exposure 1/250 second at f8; Kodak T-Max 400 film rated at ISO 400, processed normally. No lens filters were used. Film was scanned using a Nikon Coolscan series film scanner. Photo file was routinely optimized with Photoshop on a Mac.

Comments: I had been walking through a park with this older woman looking for a good photo location when we came upon this picnic table. She decided to rest while I scouted around alone. When I returned I found her propping her head on her cane and snapped a few shots of the depressing looking scene.

As it turned out, that was the extent of our filming session - right after I made these quick pictures she sleepily asked to be taken home. I guess the moral of this story is: never pass up a picture because that might be all you get.  HC
