Comments: This photo is pure old-school: hand held manual film camera, no props or reflectors, using classic Kodak Tri-X black and white film, developed by hand in a darkroom. It's a long way to travel for a photograph compared to modern digital SLR's, but the old ways had some advantages, not the least of which were small, fast handling cameras which made children photography easier.
I almost always use digital equipment now but I miss the easier handling film rigs of decades ago. Digital SLR cameras and lenses seem to be evolving into even larger and heavier models. It would be nice to see more small, light-weight camera bodies and a greater selection of fixed focal length lenses. Hello? Nikon, Olympus, Canon? HC
