Technical data: Photo taken with hand held Olympus OM-4T manual film camera & Zuiko 100mm f2.0 lens, manual in-camera spot metering, using existing indoor light. Approximate exposure 1/60 second at f5.6 - Kodak T-Max 400 black and white film rated normally at EI 400, processed normally. No lens filters were used. Film was scanned using a Nikon Coolscan series film scanner. Photo file was routinely optimized with Photoshop on a Mac.

Comments: I was photographing this child's friend when I noticed this worried look. This young girl was about to leave for a dental exam and was deeply in the pits. Nothing I could say or do would console her - or disturb her photogenic brooding.

I love this old Olympus camera. Small, light, accurate and nearly indestructable with its titanium body. Combined with the Zuiko 100mm f2.0 portrait lens it made a beautiful picture taking machine. I mostly use digital equipment now, but sometimes I still sneak out with the old workhorse manual cameras.  HC
